Historic Growth for the Professional Fire Fighters of Greensboro

Local 947 saw historic growth throughout 2023 as we surpassed a benchmark goal of 600+ members! Our track record of progress makes it difficult to deny the benefits of membership and participation. We witnessed 100% of the 77th, 78th, and 79th Recruit Classes join our family! With the additions of these new members, Local 947 has become the largest union of active-firefighters in North Carolina and the largest employee union in the City of Greensboro.
